Second shooting is a massive privilege, especially if you find yourself in Lake Como with Fiona Clair. I consider second shooting to be a very serious task. Not only do you have to tap into how the main photographer sees the world and try to emulate it in order to make their job easier come editing time, you need to be constantly aware of their needs, emotional, physical, technical etc. You’re seeing these photographers at their most vulnerable really, because no matter what type of wedding it is they will invariably put their all into it and share a little, or a lot, about what they are feeling in the process. So these photos are ones that I took with my camera, but I have seen it, shot it and edited it through very different eyes in a way, so therefore I don’t feel this is my own work. But it’s nice to have a look at what was actually an amazing wedding experience. So this was the party the night before the wedding at Villa Balbianello. If you want to look have a look at the real photographer’s amazing artistry, go have a look: Fiona Clair Photography.
